I don’t know if it’s still true, but years ago you could buy those poppies dried up in stores in the flower district, they cost maybe a buck or two. Or you could buy them further downtown, pulverized and processed in tiny glassine bags, probably for more than a buck or two.
Poppies. I have to wonder what they look like through these soldiers’ infrared goggles, which version of these flowers they present themselves to be.
