Whenever people talk about crime + data + informatics, it’s usually about ways that individual acts can be measured, predicted, and policed.
This is far more plausible, much closer to a world I want to live in, and a much better use of the same technologies. And unsurprisingly, it doesn’t come from consultants at IBM. It comes from people, benevolently re-inventing and mis-using the technologies at hand.
